The Abington YMCA is for everyone! Adults in particular have a wide range of opportunities to persue better physical fitness and well being in spirit, mind and body. These opportunities extend from the Aerobics Room to the Spinning Studio to the Swimming Pool and beyond! Whether you prefer a mat stretch, a run on the treadmill or a swim in the pool, the Abington YMCA has something for every 18 to 80+ member.

Abs Blast
Designed to firm and strengthen abdominals, lower back, inner thighs, outer thighs and the gluteus maximus. Included is a 20 minute cardio session.

Karate / Kickboxing
This popular program is growing and we want you to be apart of it. The reason this class has gotten so big is because we teach self discipline while having fun . Children will have the opportunity to learn kicks, punches and other safe move s. The YMCA strongly endorses teaching our youth the values of the YMCA - Caring, Honesty, Responsibility and Respect. Please see the Mr. Scott for uniform in formation.

Body Toning
A tone and trim workout with high repetitive movements, utilizing hand weights and focusing on the entire body.

Boot Camp
Give your old workout routine the high intensity boost it has been looking for. With a combination of calisthenics, cardio, and strength, this class is sure way to get the benefits of a personal trainer while building comradeship in a group enviroment.

Hatha Yoga
This class challenges the body and mind through strenthgning, stretching, relaxing and breathing. Flexibility, strength and muscle tone will continually improv e as your mind, body and spirit work together in harmony.

Kickboxing
Give your old workout routine the high intensity boost it has been looking for. With a combination of calisthenics, cardio, and strength, this class is sure way to get the benefits of a personal trainer while building comradeship in a grou p enviroment.

Nutrition Counseling
Healthy eating is important to overall wellness, health promotion, and disease prevention. Learn to eat well in pursuit of a healthier lifestyle. Maria Morsi, MS,RD,LDN will provide this one-on-one expert nutrition assessment and nutrition counseling.

Pilates
This exercise format focuses on core abdominal strength, body alignment, concentration, and yoga-like stretching. Pilates creates length in the muscles while building core strength and increasing flexibility.

Power Hour
Total body muscular workout that starts with a high intensity step class and is followed by 50 minutes of major muscle group workout. Our new adjustable barbells, dumbbells and stability balls will assist in making sure every muscle is worked.

Spinning
A cardio workout done on a specially designed stationary bike simulating a road bike ride. It is a fun way to exercise to music. Challenging to all fitness levels.

Training (Personal & Private)
If motivation seems to be inhibiting your success in personal fitness, let one of our personal trainers get you back on track. One hour sessions are available by appointment only.

Training (Group)
Looking for a change in your exercise program? Learn how to use free weights in the Olympic Weight Room. Ronna Kassel will teach you how to properly incorporate free weight exercises into your routine. Open to anyone over 16. Limit of 10 participants.
